Highlights
Rainfall:
- Expected to continue across several regions including the Lake Victoria Basin, various Rift Valley areas, and parts of the Coastal region.
- Regions such as Nairobi and parts of the Southeastern lowlands will experience rainfall primarily in May, with cooler and cloudier conditions expected in June and July.
Temperature:
- Temperatures across the country are forecasted to be warmer than normal during this period.
- Notably warmer temperatures, exceeding 35°C, are expected in parts of Turkana, Mandera, Samburu, Garissa, and Wajir Counties.
Wind:
- Strong winds, exceeding 25 knots, are forecasted for the Coast and some parts of Northeastern Kenya.
- Other regions, including parts of Turkana, Marsabit, Lamu, Garissa, Isiolo, Mombasa, and Kilifi, will also experience significant wind speeds.
