The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) hosted this year’s World Ozone Day to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and combating climate change. Under the theme “Montreal Protocol: Fixing the Ozone Layer and Reducing Climate Impacts,” the event highlighted Kenya's efforts in promoting sustainable practices and advancing policies to safeguard the environment. Stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, and community leaders, gathered to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for continued action in preserving the ozone layer for future generations.
