The National Assembly Committee on Environment, Forestry, and Mining visited the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) earlier today to familiarize themselves with the activities of the department and better understand how it fulfills its mandate of providing weather and climate services to the people of Kenya. During the visit, the Committee met with the Director and Senior Staff of KMD. Acknowledging the department's exemplary work in delivering timely and efficient weather and climate information, particularly during the short rain season.
